A day out in London
Luke and I went to see the Oxford Street Christmas lights turn on this year, and I have to say it was actually quite disappointing. Only some of the lights turned on and even when they did, it wasn't the time it had stated on their Facebook page...The crowd made me utterly furious. You would have thought an apocalypse was occurring, and everyone was rushing for their lives. Some lights turn on and everyone loses the fucking plot. I cried for about all of 5 seconds out of frustration that I had also lost my new watch in the masses, even if it was only £7.99 from WH Smith's. It mattered, OK?
However, despite this tragedy, we got some acai bowls, which Luke keeps calling 'a-kai' bowls which is amusing but I fear someone might take him seriously. I got a few presents for the holidays, and we also went into Lush, obviously, and I got a few bits there too, because you have to do that when you're in that store. I believe Luke got some gifts from Urban Outfitters, and we looked around other stores. We also went into Hamley's because it is amazing, and I like the fact I regress into wanting everything in there when I go in. There was also a Harry Potter floor which I got a notebook and 'wand pencil' from, as well as a huge Lego Hagrid. We then had dinner in our local Pizza Express, which was a nice way to round off a very stressful, but fun, day.
